An exclusive from AppleInsider has just been published. According to the report, Apple and Intel, two companies which have once been rivals, will form closer bonds due to Apple's interest in Intel products. One would be Intel's Menlow Mobile Internet Device platform. The other would be the 45 nanometer Silverthorne Chip (see picture). This chip was designed with mobile phones and other Mobile internet devices in mind. The end goal of Apple is to create ultra-mobile PCs. Apparently, the new technology is aimed for use for the second generation of 3G iPhones, as well as the planned Newton.
